Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to have data removed from Tendari. There are two kinds of people who might be reading this — and the right route is different for each.

If you’re a shopper

In short: the store you chatted with is the one holding your data. Contact them first; we can also delete on direct request.

If you talked to a Tendari-powered agent on a store’s website or in Facebook Messenger, your data is controlled by that store, not by Tendari directly. We process the conversation on the store’s behalf. Two ways to have it deleted:

  1. Contact the store you chatted with.They’re the ones with the legal obligation to delete your data under GDPR (or your local law). Ask them; they’ll either delete it themselves or forward the request to us. This is the cleanest path because the store is the data controller.
  2. Or email us directly at privacy@tendari.ai. Tell us which store you chatted with and approximately when, plus the Facebook account or email you used. We’ll locate the conversation, delete the records of it from our systems, and let the store know we did.

If you talked to the agent inside Facebook Messenger and you also want Facebook’s own copy of the conversation removed, you’ll need to do that through Facebook’s tools (in Settings & Privacy → Activity Log on facebook.com). Tendari doesn’t control what Facebook stores about your account.

If you’re a store using Tendari

In short: disconnect the integration in your dashboard, or email us — both work.

Two routes, depending on what you want:

  1. Disconnect the Facebook Page integration only. In your Tendari dashboard, go to Channels → Facebook Messenger → Disconnect. We immediately stop receiving messages from that Page and revoke our access tokens. Customer Data tied to that Page is queued for deletion.
  2. Delete your entire Tendari workspace and all Customer Data. Email privacy@tendari.ai from the address tied to your account, with the subject line Delete my workspace. We’ll confirm the request and act within the timeframe below.

What we delete

When you request deletion, we remove:

  • Customer Data — your catalogue, support history, brand-voice samples, and the conversations routed through Tendari.
  • Workspace settings, prompts, and any fine-tunes specific to your store.
  • Facebook Page access tokens and the user-profile information (name, avatar) Facebook shared with us about shoppers who chatted with the agent.
  • Account information, except what we need to retain by law (for example, invoices once commercial billing starts).

What we keep, and why

A few narrow exceptions:

  • Aggregate, anonymised operational metrics— latency, error rates, abuse-detection signals — that don’t identify any individual or store. These are needed to keep the Service running for everyone.
  • Backups, for up to 90 days. Backups are encrypted, not directly accessible, and rotated out on schedule. After that window your data is gone from backups too.
  • Records we’re legally required to keep — for example, billing records under Lithuanian tax law once commercial billing is in place.

How long it takes

  • Acknowledgement within 7 days of receiving your request.
  • Active-system deletion within 30 days.
  • Backup rotation completes within 90 days.
